Page 6 <br />Regular Council <br />May 14, 1979 <br /> <br />Mr. Grosslein asked that the public hearing be waived due to the fact that <br />100 percent of the affected landowners had signed the petition. <br /> <br />City Attorney advised the City Council that the public hearing may be omitted <br />when a petition requesting the improvement has been signed by 100 percent <br />of the affected landowners. Consequently, the City Council omitted the public <br />hearing for this project. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann adopting Resolu- <br />tion 79-32 Declaring Adequacy of Petition and Ordering Preparation of Report. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, <br />Reimann and Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to order the <br />feasibility study for the storm sewer project on Tungsten and Front Street. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, <br />Reimann and Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />ED KLEMISH PROPOSED SUBDIVISION <br /> <br />A lengthy discussion was held in regard to Mr. Klemish's subdivision. <br /> <br />Administrator Schnelle related that Mr. Klemish had first gone before the <br />P & Z Commission with a sketch plan, they referred him to Council because <br />of undersized lots, and Council referred him back to P & Z Commission with <br />the suggestion that Mr. Klemish develop the land into 13 lots averaging 2~ <br />acre demsity and the P & Z Commission has now rejected the plat and he is <br />before the Council tonight to find out just what he can do that will be <br />acceptable. <br /> <br />A~ninistrator Schnelle added that Mr. Klemish is now entitled to a public <br />hearing on this plat. <br /> <br />Discussion was held regarding the park land by Trott Brook. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said he is in favor of 8.5 acres park the way it is going with <br />Councilman Sortebergs original recommendation of 2½ acre denisty by changing <br />the three lots forming a triangle in the middle of the plat into two lots. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann said he is in favor of going according to the ordinance <br />2~ acres per lot and taking three acres for park making a walkway along the <br />creek. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said he would like to see as much park land taken as possible. <br /> <br />Mr. Klemish said he was not going to dedicate anymore park land than he has <br />shown on the plat. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
