The present
liquor store site is at Highway 47 lnd Industry Avenue (Cable proposed shopping
center).

Mr. Muller said that since M & L is having a problem getting the liquor store
into operation at the present site because of delays in Mr. Cable's construction
of the shopping center, he has offered to help them by giving them an opportunity
to relocate and add a liquor store on his present Super Value Store and rent the
space to them.

Discussion held as to space requirements, rents, etc.

Councilman Cox commented that consideration for it being given in that original
location is because it is on Highway 47 and isn't the same traffic pattern
as on Highway 10. He feels this relocation would have to be addressed through
the same process as it had been originally issued because there is no ordinance
governing the selection process itself. It would have to be done in a fair manner.

Councilman Reimann said he had made the motion to issue the liquor license to
M & L in the location at Highway 47 and Industry' Avenue and feels he would have to
vote against this location and that it would have to be readvertised for competitive~.'
reasons as it was in the original issue. It was denied to others before who requested
to be located in a small area at Bob's old store, but because this request is
for the same location, he feels to be fair, that it would have to go through the
entire liquor selection process again.

-10-
Regular City Council Meeting
6/11/79
