NEW BUSINESS PETITION "CI{ILDREN PLAYING" SIGN 164TH LANE N.W. Motion by Councilman Cox, seconded by Councilman Reimann to authorize' the street department to install 30 MPH signs and Watch Out For Children signs as needed on 164th Lane N.W. Motion carried. Vot.ing yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Reimann and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. LION ' S CLUB - REQUEST TO USE BASEMENT 'AREA 'OF 'CITY 'HALL Carol Andreasen, 5510 164th Lane N.W., addressed the Council in regard to using the City Hall basement for a Halloween Party for the children in Ramsey. She would like to conduct a teen dance in the basement. She has the Jaycees and Lion's Club backing for this project. Mayor Gamec expressed concern with liability, parking and controlling the teenagers. Mrs. Andreasen said she talked to the Community School director and he felt it would be a good thing for teenagers and he knows the police will be willing to supervise this project. Councilman Cox said there should not be any problem getting some responsible adults who would supervise the dance. Administrator Schnelle said he would check with the insurance company in regard to liability coverage. Mayor Gamec told Mrs. Andreasen to submit her plans to the police department. Councilman Cox said he would like to see Mrs. Andreasen get the program together and that is what this building is intended for is citizen's use. BINGO PERMIT AND LICENSE 'TO SELL '5;2 'BEER; 'REQUEST.~FO.R; CAS.__E OF ANOKA FIRE Motion by Councilman Reimann, seconded by Councilman Cox to grant a permit to the Anoka Fire Department to conduct Bingo between 10:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. on September 9, 1979.
