AIRPORT <br /> <br />A special meeting regarding the Airport issue is scheduled for <br />September 10, 1979 at 7:00 P.M. The staff is to contact the Economic <br />Development Committee and Mr. Greenberg to see if they can attend this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />FINANCE <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann, seconded by Councilman Sorteberg <br />to authorize the writing off of uncollectable bills in the amount <br />of $2,070.30, however, staff is to pursue these bills to try to collect <br />as much as possible. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gan~c, Councilmen Cox, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />LICENSES FOR APPROVAL <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann, seconded by Councilman Cox to approve <br />the licenses as listed: <br /> <br />79-140 Richard L. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />FLINTWOODHILLS SECOND ADDITION <br /> <br />Discussion held regarding culvert that is not functioning and not draining <br />and who will assume responsibility for this problem and the old County ditch. <br />~e County has informed Carson Homes that they'only were agents for the farmers <br />for this ditch years ago. And by putting an urban development in, Ramsey <br />assums the responsibility for the drainage. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka stated that this is an urban area and he feels it is <br />the City's problem because they are creating the higher ground water <br />table. When the storm drain study is completed we will have <br />definite recommendations on what to do to correct this problem. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated he feels the developer of the plat should take care of <br />the problem until sewer and water is available. <br /> <br />The City attorney is to contact the County Attorney to determine just <br />what their jurisdiction and responsibility is toward the ditch. <br />Possibly the developer could provide the overflow under' the City's <br />jurisdiction and any expenses borne by the developer and assess all <br />people who have benefit from it. <br /> <br />This item is to be on the next meeting's Agenda. <br /> <br />Regular Council Meeting 8/27/79 <br /> pa~e 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
