Member Burandt asked how many hours does staff take up to put on the expo event.
Economic Dev. Mgr/Assistant City Administrator Brama stated he did not have exact numbers
but there are two staff members who are covering this event and he thought they spent
approximately forty to eighty hours on this event.
Member Hardin asked if they have tracked the attendance over the years.
Economic Dev. Mgr/Assistant City Administrator Brama stated they did not have an anecdotal
way to track the attendance but estimate the numbers to be between 250-300. He suggested they
move forward with the expo this year and discuss throughout the year on how to plan for 2017
going forward.
Member Williams suggested they reach out to the Chamber to see if there is an opportunity for
them to find those businesses to come in and as a last resort to fill it with crafters. She also
thought they should contact the college to find vendors. She wondered if there could be some
sort of incentive that promotes the City that they could give away and would allow them to count
who comes in the door.
Member Skaff also suggested having a counter at the door and he volunteered to do that.
5.
