PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RA~BEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Ramsey City Council held <br />a public hearing at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor damec Also Present: <br />Councilman Cox <br />Councilman Mickel son <br />Councilman Re imann <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br /> <br />Adm. Schnelle <br />Engr. Raatikka <br />Atty. Goodrich <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the hearing to order at Z:48 P.M. <br /> <br />He explained that the purpose of the Assessment Hearing is to consider <br />the assessment of GORHAM'S SANDY ACRES street improvement project. <br />He reported that the project still has restoration work, etc., that <br />the driveways within three feet of the roadway were connected with the <br />project and that concre~aprons are disallowed unless special instructions <br />are followed. People wishing to install concrete are to contact the Building <br />Department. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka reviewed the project and the cost summary. <br /> <br />Vic Barrott, 15121 Xkimo Street stated that there are holes developing <br />already which are not test holes, these are near the shoulder and breaking <br />up. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said the City would be going out and checking and explained <br />why the hearing is being held earlier to save people about $200 by <br />getting the assessment levied this yee~. <br /> <br />Lyle Daugherty, 15157 Yakima Street asked weren't&tches sUpposed to <br />be seeded and mulched. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka reported that they are working on it now and should <br />have the restoration completed in a week or two. <br /> <br />Lyle Daugherty said he is experiencing washing away of soil by where <br />the road it. He asked if the seven percent increase was the same for <br />their project as the previous one. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka reported that this project cost was less than estimated. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to close the <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, <br />Reimann and Sorteberg.
