PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Monday, December <br />10, 1979, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W. <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Cox <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br />City Engineer Dick Sha <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Reimann called the meeting to order at 7:38 P.M. <br />Mayor Gamec arrived later in the meeting. <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Addition under Mayor & Council - discussion on hiring a city engineer; <br />one acre commercial lots; and request for a status report on Rum and Mississippi <br />Rivers from Ed Fields. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to accept the <br />Agenda with corrections as noted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Acting Mayor Reimann, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson <br />and Sorteberg. <br /> <br />It was noted that Administrator Schnelle will forward a report to Commissioner <br />Ed Fields on the Critical Rivers and Wild & Scenic Rivers status. <br /> <br />CITIZEN'S INPUT <br /> <br />Mike Spellers, Reporter for Anoka County Union, was present at the meeting. <br />He will be reporting the City's news. <br /> <br />Carol Andresen, 5510 164th Avenue attended the meeting to report on the <br />success of the Halloween party at Ramsey Elementary School. She thanked the <br />City for their backing and help with the party. It was a success and they <br />hope to have another Halloween party next year. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox thanked Mrs. Andresen for taking time to come in and report <br />on this activity and for their interest in the children. It was noted <br />that Jim Andresen, (son) was present at the meeting also. <br /> <br />There was no further citizen input. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Regular Council Meeting of November 26, 1979 <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to approve the <br />minutes of the November 26th Council meeting as received. <br /> <br />Council/December 10, 1979/Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
