CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at the Ramsey <br />Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Assistant Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamcc called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:08 p.m. and called <br />upon members of Boy Scout Troop 678 to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUrl' <br /> <br />Ecl Itamilton, 6615 Highway 10 NW, stated since the 11th of May there has been an additional <br />four different days he has smelled the odor from the blacktop plant, which is four out of ten <br />working days. The dates are May 13, 14, 17 and 20. This makes nine times since the plant <br />started on the 22''d of April. He stated he should be able to enjoy fresh air like everyone else in <br />the City of Ramsey and should not have to put up continually with this smell. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec informed Mr. Hamilton since the last Council meeting an intern was assigned to <br />do some work. He questioned if Mr. Hamilton is correct on the dates he has stated, as according <br />to the report the Council has received, the plant was not operating some of the days he has <br />mentioned. <br /> <br />Mr. Hamilton stated if there is wind, rain or heavy humidity the smell is worse, and he has <br />smelled it all of the days he just stated.
