page <br /> <br /> Tim Paquett~ at this time explained how a four acre site may seem over <br />excessive, however, it probably would not be in thirty years. This is a plan <br />that takes into consideration %h~ future growth of Ramsey. <br /> Mayor Cox commented that #1c under communit~ facilities was not necessary. <br />Tim Paquette said he would delete it from ~he plan'. <br /> Mayor Cox asked if Planning and Zoning had any questions at $fzis time. <br />Tcm Gamec said the only question he had, was how the city would acquire the land <br />for future park sites. Tim Paquette explained that there is a possibility ef <br />federal and state funding; but one of the requirements,is that a city has an <br />approved Comprehensive Park Plan. <br /> There was discussion of Beilly Estates, and Tim Paquette was requested <br />add this to the plan. <br /> Discussion on Park Plan Proposals: <br /> Tom Moorehouse questioned site A-11 as there is already a house on the <br />land, shown on the map. Tim Pa~luette again e~phasized that the park areas <br />indicated on the ~ap are not absolute. <br /> A1 Sorteberg questioned A~ and A6, saying that this a large amount of <br />laud, and how do we propose to finance it in acquiring it. There was discussion <br />regarding possible use of the General Mills property. Grants were again <br />mentioned as means of financing. <br />Mayor Cox exp]ained the proposed continuation of Industrial :~oulevard. <br />A1 Sorteber stated that we have to do something soon if we plan on pre- <br />serving Trott and Ford Brooks. Mayor Cox said he would ask Mr. Nereson to <br />check tih the city attorney regardinE an ordinance covering these areas. <br /> Kath~ Schneider brought up a need for a public hearing, a~d a n additional <br />joint meeting. Bob Cushman stated he felt a public hearing was not necessary. <br />Councilman Gorham felt it was a necessity to hold one. Mayor Cox said that <br />since the city council had to he present at the February 7, 1977 planniD~ and <br />zoning meeting, that this would be an oppurtune time for approving changes. <br /> John Zobava made a motion to adjourn.
