-6- <br />Regular Council Meeting <br /> 2/28/77 <br /> <br />Resolution - Regional Government <br /> <br />A special meeting was scheduled for March 9, 1977 at 7:30 p.m., City Hall for <br />the purpose of discussing regional government and also the Advisory Council <br />liason, Community Schools. <br /> <br />Administrator's Repo~ <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson presented a request from Tom Gamec, Chairman of P & Z, to send <br />himself and a couple other memebers of the Commission to a Planning and Zoning <br />institute in St. Paul, put on by the League of Cities in cooperation with <br />St. John's University, regarding procedural problems-zoning, etc. <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann~ Seconded by Muller to authorize three Planning & Zoning <br />members to attend the Planning and Zoning institute. <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson presented a memo regarding planning projects as an update for the <br />Council on the status of these projects. <br /> <br />Burnin,g Permits <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson said he has not received official word on what will happen. <br />A meeting with P.C.A., D.N.R. and Dept. of Agriculture is scheduled for 3/2/77. <br /> <br />He said he hopes to get direction from them. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox said to tell them that we will issue burning permits ourselves if they <br />can't get it done. <br /> <br />Beer License-Anoka Aero Air Show <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, Seconded by Gorham to issue a 3.2 beer license to Mr. Carlson <br />for the Anoka Aero Air Show to be held July 30 and 31. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />Bills for Approval <br /> <br />Motion by Gorham, Seconded by Reimann to approve the bills, Checks # 4331 thru <br />4472, General fund and Payroll - total $41,437.47,~EDA fund Checks # 1011thru 103 <br />total $9,681.62.[]'~Total tff-~b~rs-emen~s $51,119.09.~-~/~,/,~., ~ (~ , .... ...~ ~..~ 5 Ayes <br />g~.,~ ,~ ~' i~/-> ,~ ?~ ?~ ~ ~ ~ ] ~, ?,.:~ ?,, ,~ ,,?. ,~w'~ ~-' <br />Mayor & council Input <br /> <br />Councilman Gorham reported on an EDA meeting he attended last week regarding <br />underdeveloped communities. He said Ramsey Industrial Park is not listed because <br />the Metro Council doesn't look at it as an Industrial Park. He said in order <br />to qualify it has to have an overall plan. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox said to indicate to them that it does exist.' <br /> <br />Councilman Gorham said he will bring it up and tell them we would like it included. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox said one thing that is restricting development is the lack of a thoroughfare <br />road. <br /> <br />Motion by Gorham, seconded by Mickelson to adjourn. <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br />Adjournment 11:32 P.M. <br /> <br />Pl~il N6r~o'fi ,--Adm.
