FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> <br />VAN ODEGAARD, 5420 177th Lane N.W., Ramsey Minnesota <br /> <br />FINDIl~GS: <br /> <br />Reside on Lots 5 and 6 Block I Riverwood Hills Plat 1, <br />which contains a total of 2½ acres of land. <br /> <br />2. Property is located within an R-1 zoning district. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />Applicant desires to keep 25 siberian husky dogs on <br />the premises. <br /> <br />The boundary of Lot 4, Block 1 is 300 feet from the <br />kennel structure, and 235 feet from Lot 7, Block 1, <br />Riverwood Hills Plat 1. <br /> <br />The owners of neighboring lots object to the private <br />kennel license as it adversly affects their property <br />value and also object to issuing a conditional use <br />pemit to have a private kennel license. <br /> <br />The owners of lots in the area feel that the presence <br />of the dogs is a public nuisance because of noise and <br />odor. <br /> <br />The dogs owned by the applicant are not licensed by the <br />City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The applicant presently houses the animals in a chain <br />link fence with redwood privacy fence around. <br /> <br />The applicant has proposed to construct an enclosed <br />structure to house the animals and contends this would <br />eliminate the noise and odor problems, and applicant <br />stated the dogs would not be in this enclosure at all times. <br /> <br />The following land owners appeared at the hearing and <br />were heard: <br /> Teresa Henderson, 17640 Cobalt Street <br /> Delores Benson, 17735 Erkium Street <br /> Donald Brown, 17620 Argon Street <br /> Kathy Tillery, 17725 Flourine Street <br /> Charles Reynolds who originally owned the <br /> subdivision before selling off most of <br /> the lots <br /> Michael D. Linder and Kathleen Linder, <br /> 17811Erkium Street <br /> Norman Griner, 5410 177th Lane <br /> Carol Griner, 5410 177th Lane <br /> <br />11.
