Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
<br />RESOLUTION #16-01-010
<br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE SPECIAL GENERAL
<br />ELECTION ON FEBRUARY 9, 2016
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey will be conducting a Special General Election on
<br />February 9, 2016, to fill the vacancy in Senate District 35, created by the resignation of Senator
<br />Branden Petersen; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.21, election judges for
<br />precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and
<br />WHEREAS, the hourly rate of pay will be $9.00 for election judge trainees, $10.00 for
<br />regular election judges and $11.00 for chairs.
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:
<br />1) That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the Special
<br />General Election to be held on February 9, 2016:

<br />Woodfill, Richard (Scott) Cords, Peggy Howe, Lana Howell, LaVonne Suckow, Karin
<br />Anderson, Jerilyn Bates, Michele Elifrits, Al Resler, Kathy Woods, Kevin Efram, Derek
<br />Scheuermann, Marlene Kroll, Barbara Tokar, Paula Chicoine, Charlotte Culbertson, Marie

<br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
<br />Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
