Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #16-01-025 <br />RESOLUTION TO RATIFY FOUR BUDGETED POSITION RECLASSIFCATIONS <br />WHEREAS, the strategic plan identifies the City Council's desire to maintain an effective <br />organization and to reclassify jobs in an effort to retain employees; and <br />WHEREAS, staff identified four position to be addressed at this time; and <br />WHEREAS, the approved 2016 budget accounts for four position reclassifications; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends reclassifying the following positions: 1) reclassify the <br />current Accounting Clerk to Senior Accounting Clerk, 2) reclassify the current Accountant I to <br />Accountant II 3) reclassify one current Public Works Streets Maintenance Worker to Mechanic <br />and 4) reclassify the current Civil Engineer II to Civil Engineer IV, all effective January 1, 2016. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #16-01-025 to Ratify Four Budgeted Position Reclassifications, <br />all effective as of January 1, 2016, as follows: <br />a) Reclassify the current Accounting Clerk, Jackie Lipski, to Senior Accounting <br />Clerk, at step 6 of the new wage scale, which is $25.65 per hour; <br />b) Reclassify the current Accountant I, Cindy Nelson, to Accountant II, at step 5 of <br />the new wage scale, which is $30.50 per hour; <br />c) Reclassify one current Public Works Streets Maintenance Worker, Greg Lind, to <br />Mechanic, at step 5 of the new wage scale, which is $27.01 per hour; <br />d) Reclassify the current Civil Engineer II, Len Linton, to Civil Engineer IV, at step 4 <br />of the new wage scale, which is 38.14 per hour. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Williams <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />
