Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #16-01-026 <br />RESOLUTION TO RATIFY THE BUDGETED 2016 NON-UNION HEALTH <br />INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS AND NON-UNION COST OF LIVING <br />ADJUSTMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the 2016 approved City budget accounts for the non-union health insurance <br />contributions listed below; and <br />WHEREAS, the non-union health insurance contributions listed below are the same <br />amounts that were previously approved for all other employee groups, including AFSCME, LELS <br />Patrol and LELS Sergeants, as per the respective union contracts; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends authorizing the non-union city health insurance <br />contributions as follows; and <br />Health Plan Tier (Per Month) <br />City <br />Contribution <br />to Premium <br />City <br />Contribution <br />to *VEBA <br />Total Monthly <br />City <br />Contribution <br />Single Plans <br />Blue Print Network -$4000 Deduct. <br />All other single plans <br />$763.00 <br />$827.00 <br />$194.00 <br />$130.00 <br />$957.00 <br />$957.00 <br />Employee + Spouse Plans <br />$1007.00 <br />$160.00 <br />$1,167.00 <br />Employee + Children Plans <br />$1,091.00 <br />$160.00 <br />$1,251.00 <br />Family Plans <br />$1,166.00 <br />$192.00 <br />$1,358.00 <br />* The above listed City VEBA contribution includes a $4.30 per month VEBA <br />administration fee <br />WHEREAS, the 2016 approved City budget accounts for the non-union cost of living <br />adjustment; and <br />WHEREAS, the non-union cost of living adjustment is the same percentage that was <br />approved previously for all other employee groups, including AFSCME, LELS Patrol and LELS <br />Sergeants as per the respective union contracts; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends increasing the non-union wage scale by two percent (2%) <br />for a cost of living adjustment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />
