Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #16-01-027 <br />RESOLUTION TO RATIFY A MARKET RATE ADJUSTMENT FOR TWO UNION <br />POSITIONS <br />WHEREAS, as part of the 2015/2016 union negotiations process, the City Council <br />approved the LELS-Patrol and LELS-Sergeants to receive a market rate adjustment, effective <br />April 1, 2016; and <br />WHEREAS, with AFSCME, a thorough wage study was not feasible prior to signing <br />the AFSCME contract; and <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to adjust the pay scales of the Public Works <br />Maintenance Workers and the Engineering Technician II positon; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends ratifying the market rate adjustments on the Public <br />Works Maintenance Worker positions to a pay range of $20.72 - $25.90 per hour and the <br />Engineering Technician II position to a pay range of $23.93 - $29.91 per hour, effective April 1, <br />2016. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #16-01-027 to ratify the market rate adjustments on the Public <br />Works Maintenance Worker positions to a pay range of $20.72 - $25.90 per hour and the <br />Engineering Technician II position to a pay range of $23.93 - $29.91 per hour, effective <br />April 1, 2016. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Williams <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />
