Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #16-02-033 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #16-00, DIVISION B; 2016 STREET MAINTENANCE <br />PROGRAM OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to mill and overlay various street segments <br />with Division B of the 2016 Street Maintenance Program for the purpose of maintaining these <br />streets as cost-effectively as possible; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to assess all benefiting properties for 25 - <br />percent of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, the City <br />Charter, and the City's adopted Special Assessments Policy. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the proposed improvements, designated as Improvement Project #16-00, Division B, <br />be referred to the City Engineer for study and that the City Engineer is instructed to <br />report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary <br />way as to whether the proposed improvements are necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; <br />whether they should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other <br />improvement; the estimated cost of the improvements as recommended; and a <br />description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for affected <br />parcels. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />Councilmember Williams <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
