Council Meeting 5/22/75 -5- <br /> <br />Resignation of Arlene Peddycoart <br /> <br />Motion by Muller, seconded by Mickelson to accept the resignation <br />o--f--l~ene Peddycoart, Adm. Secretary. <br /> <br />Hiri.ng. of Phil Nereson <br /> <br />The hiring of Mr. Nereson to work as a consultant to work on EDA <br />project completion is tabled until a dollar amount for his services <br />can be obtained. <br /> <br />:Ad~ni.s't rato_r..'_s Repo rt <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich presented a request for on-sale liquor license <br />from Charles . The application is to be sent to the <br />City Police Department for investigation. <br /> <br />Memo. from Chief ~uspos was read by Attorney Goodrich, Subject: <br />Bullet Proof Vests purchase. <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, seconded by Muller to authorize the purchase <br />of three (3) bullet proof vests for the police at a cost of $134.OO <br />each. <br /> <br />League of Cities Insurance Proposal <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council is that the City should participate in <br />this proposal, initial cost investigating this insurance proposal <br />is $1OO. The proposal is to find an alternative to the conventional <br /> purchase of insurance maybe in the form of a joint self-insurance <br />system, a caotive (League-owned) insurance company, a set'vice <br />contract with a commercial insurer, etc. <br /> <br />5 Ay <br /> <br />5 Ay~ <br /> <br />Motion by Mickelson, seconded by Muller that the City Council hold <br />i~ts regular meetings once a month during the summer months on the <br />fourth Monday. The next meeting is scheduled for June 26, 1978. <br />Reports <br />Motion by Reimann, seconded by Mickelson to accept the following <br />reports as sent out; Street Department, Building Department, <br />Police Department, Assessing Department. <br /> <br />5 AyE <br /> <br />5 AyE <br /> <br />A discussion was held concerning the Shoreland regulations. <br />Attorney Goodrich was directed to draft a Shoreline Ordinance for <br />the City which will provide a tangible tool for City staff to issue <br />permits under, etc., on structures to be built on the City's waterways. <br /> <br />Bills for Approve~ <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, seconded by Muller to pay the bills for the month <br />of Ma~ 1978 totaling $38,233.94. 5 AM~ <br />Apppintmqnt of Acting City ~Clerk <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, seconded by Gamec that Arlene Stafford by appointed <br />kcti~g City Clerk until a replacement Administrative Assistant can <br />be hired. 5 Ay~ <br /> <br /> <br />
