The project also included the demolition of
the former vacant HealthQuest facility on the adjacent
lot. Life Fitness is the City's second largest employer with
275 full-time and
90 part-time em-
ployees. Dedicated
Networks, located
at 14000 Unity St.
NW, looks to com-
plete their 20,000
square foot expan-
sion this spring as
well. Casey's General
Store opened their
second location at 7222 Sunwood Drive NW in January,
and will finish final site work when weather permits in the
spring. There are 76 newly created single-family lots now
available in the Brookfield, Harvest Estates, and Wood-
lands neighborhoods.
Two apartment buildings totaling 168 units are cur-
rently under construction in The COR, and look to open
later in 2016. Both projects are now constructing building
shells. New construction created 85 new single-family lots,
39 new townhome units, and 168 new apartment units
for a total of 292 new households in 2015, compared to
66 new households in 2014. Total value of construction
invested for residential, commercial, and industrial devel-
opment in 2015 was over $87 million.
Planning for Future Projects
These developments are possible through the prepara-
tion of a long-term land use plan known as the Compre-
hensive Plan.
