Art Dussl stated that since the ne~ develo~ttents have to pave, why ~..~ould the Council object when 50 percent are in favor, this seems consistent his opinion even if the majority isn't in favor. Attorney Goodrich explained that one of the reasons the City requires h]_ackt.~.oping in new developments is to try to hold down development because of Metro Council sewage regulations. It makes it less profitable for developers. l{es_ident on Uranium Street stated that if we wait two years the vacant lots ~fill be sold but the cost of the improvement will be more. Mr. Heinen said he doesn't feel that the blacktop will hold up and he will have to bring fill into the lots he owns and asked who will pay for da~,}ages · that the be~vy trucks may cause. Mayor Co~. said he ,~mu].d be responsible if his trucks did the damage. Duane Davis, 6390 164th Lane, stated at other meetings a comment ~,~as mr, de by a contractor that he puts better asphalt driveways in than you will have for s road, some of the reads around P~msey have .holes that will snap a wheel off of a 4-wheel drive, what kind of maintenance will we get on ~ little road like Uranium~? ~,hy'or Cox said with our present budget we probably have the best road ~:ervice in. the area by comparing communities with the same type of operation.
