Page 2 <br />Special Council Mtg. <br />September 5, 1978 <br /> <br />Motion by Tom Gamec and seconded by Gary Reimann to allow the assessory <br />building be moved to Mr. Perfetto's lot at 17010 Baugh Street N.W. and <br />that it be used for storage of personal property only. <br /> <br />5 ayes <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />LIQUOR COMMITTEE AD HOC <br /> <br />A request had been made to have a member of the City Council on a <br />committee to review the off-sate liquor license applications. It was <br />the general concensus of the Council that the final decision be a <br />Council action and a committee was not needed. <br /> <br />PLAYING FIELDS, SOFTBALL FIELDS, ETC. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka had been requested to do a study on the area <br />adjacent to the Ramsey Elementary School for the placement of ball fields. <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated he had the topography of the area complete <br />but was still working on the rest of the study. He felt the Park Depart- <br />ment should be notified of the report and then make their recommendations <br />to get back to the Council. <br /> <br />LANDFILL PERMIT <br /> <br />A letter had be~n prepared by City Engineer Sha regarding the Anoka <br />Landfill. It was addressed to Mr. John Boland, Chairman, of the Metro- <br />politan Council. Engineer Sha was responding to the request for comments <br />regarding the operation of the Anoka Landfill. <br /> <br />Motion by Gary Reimann and seconded by Tom Gamec to have the letter to <br />Mr. John Boland of the Metropolitan Council retyped on the City of Ramsey's <br />letterhead and signed by Mayor Cox. <br /> <br />5 ayes <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />PERSONNEL COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee is recommending that Jeanne Moen be put on perma- <br />nent status with her probationary period ending September 5, but that <br />there be no increase in pay. The Personnel Committee feels because of <br />the budget there should be no raise. It was suggested that City Admin. <br />Schnelle, Councilman Reimann, Councilman Muller and Jeanne Moen have a <br />meeting and discuss the possibility of a raise and it be presented at the <br />next meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Dave Mickelson and seconded by Tom Gamec to table the suggestion <br />of a meeting. <br /> <br />3 ayes <br />Gary Reimann opposed <br />Arnold Cox opposed <br /> <br /> <br />
