PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />An informal public hearing was held by the Ramsey City Council on <br />October 10, 1978, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd., <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox called the public hearing to order at 7:15 P.M. and led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Councilman Gamec <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Muller <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Mayor Cox <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br /> <br />Mayor Cox remineded the residents this is only an informal public hearing <br />to get an idea of the feelings pro and con to the proposed street improve- <br />ment. <br /> <br />At this time Mayor Cox introduced Mr. Ed Fields, Anoka County Commissioner, <br />who spoke a few minutes on the improvements proposed for Ramsey Blvd. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka presented an informal feasibility study on the pro- <br />posed area. His recommendation is to pave a rural cross section and leave <br />the drainage as it is. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Graves asked if 1S0th would be linking up with any street as <br />it is a dead end at a cul de sac. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said it would connect with 149th. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Graves asked if it would then be a through street. <br /> <br />He was told it would. <br /> <br />Ms. Sharon Maeger, stated they have gotten gravel already, and wondered <br />if the price for gravel was included in the cost estimate. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that the City had put it in. <br /> <br />Mr. Art Dunn asked how durable the 1½ bituminous would be for heavy trucks. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated it would hold up quite well. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Graves asked if the anntml .unit cost included repairs, <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that the maintenance is taken care of by <br />the City. <br /> <br />Ms. McLain asked how much taxes would increase over a year. <br /> <br /> <br />
