Ms. C~eryl Rae asked that in a 10 year period after they are paid for then you come along and dig them up for improvements. She is told this could be a possibility if it were the case. Mr. Aliason asked about the traffic control after the blacktopping was complete. Could bumps be put in the road? Mayor Cox informed him that can't be done. Mr. Art Dunn asked what cost the City would pick up on park land in the City Engineer Raatikka stated that park land is exempt from assessments. Mr. Steve Eberland stated he had a petition against the street improvement and that people were concerned with the speed and children becoming hurt, afraid of sewer, etc~ Ms. Janice Peterka asked if 150th could be dropped from the petition. Ms o Dorothy Eberling stated that when the petition originally came around they were told it would be about $1,000.00 and now it is much higher. Mayor Cox told her we are trying to project into the future~ Mr. James Rae asked with the estimated cost £or this project~, the buyer has to pay about 15% higher. City Engineer Raatikka stated that it could be. Mr. Dennis Schmichael stated when the petition was also original circulated that it was to be 2" of bituminous and 4~5 inches of class 57 Ms. Jan Peterka asked if they would be charged again for a road in the event of sewer coming in. She was told they would be. Ms. Wendy Graves asked if a stop sign would be separate from this petition.~ Mayor Cox told her it should be a separate petition.~ Motion by Councilman Muller and seconded by Councilman Reimann to adjourn the informal public hearing.
