PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF P,A/~SEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, October 6, 1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen <br />Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. Joseph O'Leary's request for a <br />conditional use permit to operate a welding and repair business from the <br />home. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman, Chairman <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Holm <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 8:01 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Glen Vant - 7833 159th Lane - Stated that he lives next door and Mr. <br />O'Leary's business does not present noise problems and his yard is very <br />clean; he has no problem with the conditional use permit being approved. <br /> <br />Don Clark - 7712 161st Avenue - Stated that he sees no problem with <br />approving the conditional use permit for Mr. 0'Leary; the business is an <br />asset to the neighborhood and presents no additional traffic problems. <br /> <br />Joe Robertson - 16021Xenolith - Stated that Mr. 0'Leary's business has not <br />presented any problems for the neighborhood; that Mr. 0'Leafy helps all the <br />neighbors out when they need welding services. <br /> <br />Gary WedI - 16012 Xenolith - Stated that Mr. O'Leary's business has <br />presented no problems and is an asset to the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Brian Avery - 7842 159th Lane - Stated that he has resided in the area for <br />8 years and the quality of his family life has not been impacted by Mr. <br />O'Leary's business activities; Mr. 0'Leary's business is an asset to the <br />neighborhood. <br /> <br />P & Z/Public Hearing/October 6, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
