PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, July 7, 1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. Gerald Bauer's request for <br />preliminary plat approval of Ford Brook Estates Third Addition. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman, Chairman <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br /> <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Holm <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 7:41 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Bauer and his surveyor, Mr. Jeff Caine, were present to review <br />their request for preliminary plat approval of Ford Brook Estates Third <br />Addition. <br /> <br />Mr. Richard Barstow, 5254 179th Lane, stated that he was in favor of Mr. <br />Bauer's proposed plat. <br /> <br />Mr. Greg Messing, 5411 180th Avenue N.W. and Mike Dehn, 17957 Erkium Street <br />N.W., commented that they were at the hearing to find out what the proposed <br />plat included. <br /> <br />Mr. Caine stated that the proposed subdivision was east of Ford Brook <br />Estates and consisted of 16 lots (14 in Ramsey and 2 in Burns). The plat <br />is proposing to loop a road and create two cul-de-sacs. <br /> <br />Mr. Dehn stated that he is not opposed to the plat but he is concerned with <br />the increase to traffic. <br /> <br />Mr. Caine commented that he didn't think the plat would increase traffic <br />problem in that area. <br /> <br />Mr. Dehn inquired whether there is a designated area for park. <br /> <br />Mr. Caine stated that Mr. Bauer would rather pay cash than donate land. <br /> P & Z/Public Hearing/July 7, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
