subdivision granted to facilitate the size of the home being built on Lot <br />20; this particular request would be the second metes and bounds <br />subdivision. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman to <br />indicate that a subdivision will be granted provided Mr. John Myrdal <br />proceeds with the minor platting process. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Deemer noted that this property was <br />accomodatedwith a metesandbounds subdivision inthepast. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Zimmerman, <br />Deemer, Shut, ay, Hendriksen, LaDue and Hc~ell. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Request To Establish Development And Tax Increment Financinq <br /> Districts: Case Of Mr. Robert Muller: <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Muller was present to review his request for establishment of <br />Development and Tax Increment Districts with the Commission. Mr. Muller <br />proposes to develop a strip commercial center south of 167th and west of <br />St. Francis Blvd. and is requesting City participation in site <br />improvements. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris noted that the Economic Development Commission has recommended <br />approval of Mr. Muller's request and inclusion of all Rural Business <br />property in that area in the Development District. Planning and Zoning <br />should be reviewing Mr. Muller's request as it relates to land use and the <br />City's Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to <br />recommend approval of the request to establish development and tax <br />increment financing districts and request by Robert Muller for City <br />participation in the proposed development, with the level of participation <br />to be determined by City Council and City staff. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Zimmerman stated that the proposed <br />development is consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and Zoning <br />Ordinances. <br /> <br />Amendment by Chairman Peterson and seconded by Commissioner Howell to <br />recommend that theDevelopment District include all Rural Business property <br />in the general vicinity of Mr. Muller's proposed development and that only <br />Mr. Muller's proposed development area be included in the Tax Increment <br />Financing District. <br /> <br />Amendment carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Deemer, <br />Zimmerman, Sh~way, Howell, Hendriksen and LaDue. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Zimmerman, <br />Deemer, Sh~way, Howell, Hendriksen and LaDue.
