'~Ttlght, Hennep;n~ Ano~ ~ti ~und~ <br /> <br /> 4~ ~1 St~ <br /> ELK RIVER, MINN~A <br /> <br /> ~orgc ~b~, Supe~ntendent of <br /> <br />Aprll 26, 1982 <br /> <br />At a recent School Board meeting of District 728, the following motions <br />were made and unanimously approved: <br /> <br />1) '" to close the swimming pool during the spring of 1983 trimester, and <br /> the summer season (March 15 through September 1) with the option of <br /> keeping the pool open during the summer only if additional revenue <br /> equals the incremented cost of the summer operation as determined by <br /> the school admlni.stration." <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />"to request that the school district administration 'solicit funds <br />from local government agencies or ohher community service agencies for <br />support of the summer school pool operational costs." <br /> <br />That is the puspose of this letter. We would welcome any financial support <br />that your agency would be willing to contribute to keep the pool open for a <br />longer period of,tTme. <br /> <br />The cost to have the pool open for July and August is about $10,7OO; about <br />$7500 of that cost can 'be absorbed through the Community Education Program <br />and charging higher fees for use of the pool. Additional funds will have to <br />come from contributions; any amount over the $7500 would allow the pool to be <br />open during a portion of June. <br /> <br />Would you please fill out the enclosed form and return it to this office <br />in the enclosed envelope.
