City shall provide to Mr. Nereson health insurance <br /> <br />as presented in the City's health insurance polity. <br /> <br />Councilman Gotham withdrew his motion and Councilman Mickelson withdrew his second. <br />MOTION by Gotham, seconded by Mickelson to authorize the Mayor and staff to enter int. o <br />the contract with Phil Nereson with the change under Item B,. <br /> <br /> Carried 5 Ayes <br /> <br />Councilwoman Oliphant questions the salary amount. <br /> <br />Councilman Gotham said this ~s the salary that was .agreed to by both he and the Personnel <br />Commit tee. <br /> <br />~.ANDFILL <br /> <br />Agreement described last Thursday. A hold harmless agreement was needed, and Item'13 <br />was added after talki.ng to Mr~ Otter and Attorney Goodrich. Attorney Goodrich <br />read the hold harmless portion of the agreement. Councilman Gorham said with .th, e signing <br />of this agreement the City will receive $28,000 for Sunfish Lake Boulevard, which <br />the City should receive by the 1st of November. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox read a portion of the agreement and said the City is now correcting a <br />bad situation. A solution to contamination of water and methane gas problem that <br />could have blast homes off their foundations. The Mayor displayed a map of the <br />landfill development plan. <br /> <br />The Mayor feels great strides have been made in control of the landfill operation. <br />Engineer Sba expressed concern that the newspaper's indication on Ramsey's protection <br />plans and interest in the recreation area may have rafslead some people. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich stated that Anoka presently has in their Charter stipulations that <br />land cannot be conveyed without an ordinance. Council will have to check into this <br />in five years. <br /> <br />Motion by Cox, seconded by Reimann for the City of Ramsey to enter into an agreement <br />and authorize officials of the City to sign agreement between the City of Ramsey an~ <br />Waste Management {WMMI). <br /> <br /> Carried 5 AYES <br /> <br /> EXHIBIT B-~ <br /> <br /> <br />
