We have been extensively <br />involved in levy limit modification, aid formula discussions and other revenue <br />matters that impact cities in the metropolitan area. <br /> <br />As you know, there are many critical issues facing cities in the metropolitan <br />area such as solid and hazardous waste disposal, levy limits, housing, 'transit, <br />etc. and there is a need for a strong metropolitan city organization to work <br />through these issues and represent the cities in the halls of the Capitol and <br />the Metropolitan Council. We believe the AMM meets this need. <br /> <br />We would be pleased to have Ramsey become a member of the Association. For your <br />information, the AMM dues are based on the LMC dues and this year's dues for <br />Ramsey (June 1982 - May 1983) would be only $1,488.00 ($3,100 x 48%). However, <br />since our membership year is over one-half completed, if you join now, your dues <br />would be reduced accordingly ($1,488 x 5/12 = $620).
