Ramsey, MN 55303 I I I I I I I I I Dear Lloyd: For many years, the City of Coon Rapids has been working with various officials at Anoka County toward providing additional detail annually regarding delinquent taxes and special assessments. A series of meetings recently has resulted.in a.format that will make that detail available to any of the 21 local governments in the County. At this time, the County is willing to provide the necessary detailed reports but will do so only on a one-time basis. That is, only one run will be made and it will be up to some individual com- munity to pay for the programming costs-and the computer time to make the runs. -' The City of Coon Rapids has volunteered to act as that coordinator because we likely have the most parcels with delinquent assessments. Five cities in the County have already agreed to share in the costs for such runs in 1983 and future years. In order to estimate the interest from ali the 'cities and townships, we have scheduled a meeting at the Coon Rapids City Hall on Wednesday, January 12, 1983, at 11:00 a.m. ., At that time, we can' discuss the report format and cost' sharing. One way to share the costs may be on a per parcel basis. For example, if there are 5,000 parcels in the County with delinquent taxes and the City of Coon Rapids has 1,000 of them, Coon Rapids would pay for one- third of the costs. It appears now that with about $1,000 in programming costs and $500 in computer costs, the total for the first year might be around $1,500. Coon Rapids would pay $500 and so on.
