I I I I I I ANOKA COUNTY COMMUNITY HOUSING RESOURCE BOARD WE NEED YOUR PARTICIPATION! The Anoka County Community Housing Resource Board (ACCHRB) recently received a one year grant of $25,000 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to implement their proposed work program to promote fair housing in Anoka County. The ACCHRB project will accomplish the following goals: * Increase.public awareness of fair housing rights and responsibilities. Provide educational resources about fair housing to REALTORS and to service providers. I I I Develop a new voluntary community resource to provide advocacy for fair housing. Expand minority involvement in the housing industry. Evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the Voluntary Affirmative Marketing Agreement (VAMA) in Anoka County. VA~iAs are contracts between HUD and national organizations involved in housing to implement the Civil Rights Act of 1968. I ! I I I I I The ACCHRB will complete the work program through three major task forces chaired by Board members. A workplan and timetable have been completed for each task force. Volunteers are presently being recruited to serve on the following: CONFERENCE TASK FORCE Chairperson: Purpose: Activities: Mr. Ed Kolys.zko, Four Star Realty 780-5500 To provide training and orientation to REALTORS and service providers in fair housing. Conduct for "roundtable" seminars, PLANNING/EVALUATION TASK FORCE Chairperson: Mr. Joe Grillo, City of Coon Rapids 755-2880 Purpose: To assess fair housing needs and %o evaluate the progress of the ACCHRB. Activities: Conduct community fair housing needs assessment, prepare a written report evaluating ACCHRB, consult bi~nnually with the EEO Committee of the Anoka County Board of REALTORS.
