GOODRICH <br />FEBRUARY 16, 1983 <br />LANDFILL <br /> <br />On February 7, 1983, I received an Answer from the City of An0ka in response to <br />the Complaint we served on them. In addition, Anoka served Interrogatories, <br />Request for Admissions and Demand for Production of Documents on us. I will be <br />responding to all of these items Within the next 30 days. <br /> <br />On February 3, 1983, I met with Ed M0resfelder' Attorney for Waste Management, <br />and Tom Gedde, Attorney for the City of Anoka. This meeting was arranged by Mr. <br />Moresfelder. The purpose of the meeting was to see if there is anything Waste <br />Management can do to help resolve the problems between Ramsey and Anoka. We <br />reviewed the parties' various positions and interests. At the time of the <br />meeting, Anoka had not yet.answered our Complaint and, therefore, Anoka's <br />official position on the lawsuit was not known. <br /> <br />We agreed to consider meeting again after receiPt of the Answer: Anoka seems <br />most interested in trying to settle the lawsuit short of a trial and, unless the <br />Council directs otherwise, I will continue to discuss this with the various <br />parties as I deem appropriate and worthwhile. <br /> <br />WKG/cmh <br /> <br /> <br />
