Schnelle, Administrator; and Members of the Ramsey <br />City Council <br /> <br />The Minnesota Legislature has directed the Department of Natural <br />Resources (DNR) to close its Metro Region Office, located on Warner <br />Road in St. Paul, and transfer the functions of that office to an <br />outstate DNR facility. <br /> <br />I feel that this move would seriously affect the quality of service <br />that DNR provides to local units of government and community residents. <br />The DNR Metro Region Office is scheduled to close by the end of the <br />month unless action is taken immediately. This issue is presently <br />being considered by the Minnesota Legislature. <br /> <br />Please consider the attached resolution regarding this matter at your <br />next meeting.
