Mayor Gamec stated that this matter has been discussed with Councilmember Van Wagner <br />and she has declined to serve on the Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox stated that Councilmember Van Wagner had no problem being bought off <br />by the Landfill and when it comes to serving this community with regards to <br />the landfill issue, she backs off. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Mayor Gamec to appoint Council- <br />member A1Sorteberg to serve on the Expanded Waste Management Advisory Committee. <br />The period will be for an indefinite period of time. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann and <br />Schlueter. Voting No: None. Letter from Viking Council Boy Scouts: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he notified Mr. A1 Thomas that he would be unable to <br />attend their function scheduled for May 7, 1983. <br /> <br />b. Letter Requesting Payment For Meetings Attended Regarding Mr. Arnold Cox <br /> Dated March 18, 1983: <br /> <br />! <br />! <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteber§ <br />authorizing payment in the amount of $50.00 to Mr. Arnold Cox for meetings <br />attended on February 22, 1983 with Anoka County Health Board and on March 11, <br />1983 at the Ramsey City Hall with City Staff and Metro Staff. All meetings <br />were in regards to Site "P" and in conjunction with his duties on the Expanded <br />Waste Advisory Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Letter From Ms. Heidi Gfroerer Regarding Hazardous Waste: <br /> <br />Council authorized City Staff to prepare a written reply to Ms. Heidi'Gfroerer <br />letter dated April 11, 1983 regarding a hazardous waste site being located in <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />d. Letter From Anoka County Forwarding Their Resolution #83-35: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />authorizing City Staff to prepare a letter stating that the City of Ramsey <br />has not changed it's position in regards to county owned landfills. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
