I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> ! <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A public hearing regarding Sealcoating Improvement Project #83-13 for <br />161st Avenue N.W. and Llama Street NW was called to order by Mayor <br />Gamec at 8:47 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 1983 at the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec <br /> Councilmember A1Sorteberg <br /> Councilmember Gary Reimann <br /> Councilmember Jean Schlue~er <br /> Councilmember Sue Van Wagner. <br /> <br />Also Present: City'Engineer Raatikka <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka made a slide presentation of the proposed project. <br /> <br />Brian Wetterlind - Stated that the streets are brand new and that the <br />street one block away is not being sealcoated. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that this area was being proposed for sealcoating at <br />this time because it is located between Woodlawn and Forest Hideaway which <br />are also being proposed for sealcoating. Mr. Raatikka noted that the roads <br />in this area are in good condition and Council makes the decision whether <br />or not to proceed with this project. <br /> <br />Brian Wetterlind - Stated that sealcoating is a waste of money when you <br />consider t~hat County Rd. #83 was sealcoated one year ago. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that County Rd. #83 falls under County jurisdiction and <br />the County is contemplating major improvements to that road. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner <br />to adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner.
