Nominate Chair and Vice -Chair of the Public Works Committee: Ratify the recommendation of the Public <br />Works Committee to appoint Chris Riley as Chair, and Jill Johns as Vice -Chair of the Public Works Committee <br />effective April 1, 2016 - March 31, 2017. <br />2. Review Feasibility Report for Improvement Project #16-36, Business Park 95 Regional Stormwater Pond Outlet <br />Improvements: Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee to recommend that the City Council <br />approve the Feasibility Report as drafted. <br />3. Consider Increasing Traffic Control Measures For Dysprosium St. Between Nowthen Boulevard and CR 116: <br />Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee to recommend City Council approve staff <br />recommendation to work with the Police Department to schedule placement of the speed trailer in the area, and <br />increased police presence as schedules permit. <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The Public Works Committee held its regular meeting on February 16, 2016 and discussed the following cases: <br />1. Nominate Chair and Vice -Chair of the Public Works Committee: Motion to ratify the recommendation of the <br />Public Works Committee and to appoint Chairperson Riley for Chair, and Councilmember Johns for Vice -Chair. <br />2. Review Feasibility Report for Improvement Project #16-36, Business Park 95 Regional Stormwater Pond Outlet <br />Improvements: City Engineer Westby reviewed the staff report and explained the purpose of this case is to review <br />and provide a recommendation for City Council approval of the draft Feasibility Report for the proposed Business <br />Park 95 regional stormwater pond outlet improvements. Motion to ratify the recommendation of the Public Works <br />Committee to recommend that the City Council approve the Feasibility Report as drafted. <br />3. Consider Increasing Traffic Control Measures For Dysprosium St. Between Nowthen Boulevard and CR 116: <br />Public Works Superintendent Riemer reviewed the staff report and statistics. He said he received a call from a <br />concerned citizen regarding the traffic on Dysprosium. He noted he spoke with the Police Chief who said they could <br />put out a speed trailer in the spring. The Police Chief also offered to increase patrols in the area as time permitted. <br />Motion to ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee for City Council to approve staff <br />recommendation to work with the Police Department to schedule placement of the speed trailer in the area, and <br />increased police presence as schedules permit. <br />Action: <br />
