Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #16-03-051 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE A PUBLIC WORKS STREETS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br />WHEREAS, as per the adopted budget and City goals, staff conducted a recruitment for a <br />fulltime Streets Maintenance Worker; and <br />WHEREAS, an internal recruitment process was conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Sarah Wiener has been selected as the top candidate for the position; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has completed the necessary background checks and is recommending <br />that Ms. Sarah Wiener be hired as a fulltime Streets Maintenance Worker at $20.72 per hour; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Wiener will be subject to the City's Personnel Policy and/or union <br />contracts. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #16-03-051 to hire Ms. Sarah Wiener as a fulltime Streets <br />Maintenance Worker, effective on or near April 4, 2016, at $20.72 per hour which is step <br />1 of the 2016 wage scale. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Williams <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember LeTourneau <br />
