August 12, 1982

Mr. Thomas Kurak
T K Industries, Inc.
565 - 8th Avenue North
Minneapolis, MN 55411

RE: Snaggle Haggle Property on Ramsey Blvd. North of Highway 910

!
i
I

Dear Mr. Kurak:

We have discussed your letter of July 30, 1982 with our engineer and
he has confirmed that you may plat industrial lots of one acre on the
above mentioned 4.25 acres. However, your access to RamseyJBlvd.,
inasmuch as it is a collector street, will in all likelihood be re-
stricted.

As far as the other items we have discussed, my comments are as follows:

I
I

1)

Re-roofing, Re-siding, Re-insulating - Inasmuch as these
items will require no structural changes, I feel that a
permit could be in order without preparation of plans or
City Council approval. These items will not only improve
the appearance of your building, but will also improve the
quality without requiring major changes.

I
I
!
I
I

2)

Structure Addition - As you have noted, you plan to add
some 500 square feet to the front of the building for
office space. It shall be necessary to submit both site
plan and building plans for this work. I do feel there
may be a problem with the building setback which has to
be either 110 feet from the center line of Ramsey Blvd.
or 50 feet from the right-of-way, whichever is the greater.
If this is in fact the case, you may want to apply for a
Board of Adjustment variance which would be considered by
the City Council. The fee for this is $90.00 and it is
not refundable. It also requires a public hearing. We
will explain this more in detail should it become necessary
for you to proceed in this manner.
