I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />! <br />! <br />I <br />! <br />! <br /> <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> A public hearing was called to order by Chairman Kenneth Peterson regarding <br /> Preliminary Plat Approval; Case of Ramsey Commons at the Ramsey Municipal <br /> Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota, Tuesday, May 4, 1982 <br /> at 7:38 P.M. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mr. Kenneth Peterson, Chairman <br /> Mr. Arthur Dunn <br /> Mr. Benjamin Deemer <br /> Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> Mr. Robert Isaakson <br /> Mrs. Kathy Schneider <br /> Also Present: Clayton Berg/ <br />Melnbers Absent: Mr. Gerald Zimmerman City Building Official. <br /> <br />Mr. Benjamin Deemer stated that there was a lack of notification on the <br />public hearing distribution list. Namely, Owner/Occupant, 5620 149th Lane <br />N.W. <br /> <br />Mr. Rud - Scandinavian Construction - Property is located on Nowthen Blvd. <br />in Sections 25 and 26 is is zoned UMB. We intend to subdivide the four <br />acre tract into four 1-acre lots. There is a low area in the southeasterly <br />portion of the site which will be retained for ponding. Soil borings are <br />not yet complete. <br /> <br />Tom Patchen - 5700 148th Lane - What is proposed use for this area? <br /> <br />Mr. Rud Whatever it is, it will be within city ordinance. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson - Multiple dwellings are proposed at this site. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg - Ordinance states 5-15 units per acre. <br /> <br />Mr. Rud - We have to consider what the site can handle as far as on site sewer <br />system. <br /> <br />Tom Patchen - When will city sewer come into that area? <br /> <br />Mr. Berg - It is within 1990 sewer service area but it looks doubtful it will <br />happen then. <br /> <br />Jack Menkveld - Could two lots be combined for one building if plat is approved? <br />Mr. Berg - Yes. <br /> <br />Mr. Deemer - Lots are less than I acre, therefore, we should not allow any <br />businesses on that property. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg - It would be poor planning if you approve plat and restrict the <br />types of businesses allowed there. <br /> <br />P & Z/May 4, 1982 <br /> Public Hearing <br /> Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
