b)

Mr. Randy Norcross regarding the placing of driveway on Variolite
Street (thoroughfare street) to his residence - Mr. Norcross has
placed his driveway on Variolite Street which is in violation of
the City Code. He feels he is being unreasonably treated by the
City.

Enclosure (D3-a) contains the following documentation that the
City has on this case with Mr. Norcross:

Inspection report of Building Official states individual
was notified of driveway violation.
2) Certificate of occupancy report indicates individual was
notified of driveway violation.
3) Building Official's letter dated August 10, 1982 to Mr.
Randy Norcross regarding driveway violation.
4) Memo from Building Official to City Attorney about Mr.
Norcross' driveway violation.
5) Mr. Norcross' letter dated August 16, 1982 to City Admin-
istrator with sketch showing his problem.

I
I

Comments: In order to allow Mr. Norcross to retain his present
driveway on Variolite Street will require Council grant a variance
from the City Code. However, this is being placed on the agenda
to inform you that the City will take appropriate legal action on
this case as it stands now.

I
I
I
I
I

I have informed Mr. Norcross that this would be on the agenda' for
informational purposes.

Council Action: Your action may be to only note that you have
been informed of the violation and of the City's pending action on
this case. If you take action it will be to grant a variance to
him.

c)

Mrs. Richard Tweed regarding vehicles in yard - As you are aware,
we received a complaint about the Tweed residence in regards to
all the vehicles. The City informed them by letter of their
violation of the City Code. Mrs. Tweed came in to see me about
it and at that time I directed her to put her request in writing.

Accordingly, I have enclosed her letter ih which.~she.,States the
vehicles will only be there temporarily until they get them sold.
Please refer to enclosure (D3-b) for Mrs. Tweed's letter.

Comments: I think Council should set some very definite parameters
for Mrs. Tweed in the time factor if she is to dispose of
this equipment at their residence.

Council Action: Your action will be to note that you have been
informed of this situation. If you take this action it will mean
. that she ~will have an indefinite time period. / ~_
