Mr. Raatikka <br />stated that efforts are being made to negotiate with Mr. Felknor and Mr. Usher <br />that they are requesting topsoil, compacting, seeding, trees to be saved, and <br />a $500 payment plus attorney fees to be paid. Mr. Raatikka stated that as far <br />as compacting goes, just the equipment going back and forth will result in 90% <br />compacting. He also stated that he plans to meeting with Mr. Felknor and Mr. <br />Usher to explain exactly what is going to take place. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox made sPecial note of Item #6 and inquired as to how much fill <br />is required to bring the property to 1' above 100 year flood elevation. Mr. <br />Raatikka informed Mr. Cox that it would take 5' of fill and this fill will be <br />obtained from the road. <br /> <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann requested that Mr. Raatikka keep Council posted on the <br />Felknor/Usher issue. Mr. Berg stated that if the City agrees to compacting, <br />and if it is not compacted in the proper manner and building permits cannot be <br />obtained because of the soils, the City could have a law suit filed against it. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox made special note of Item #17 regarding bonding rating and <br />stated that no matter how well we manage our City's finances, if the County <br />can't get a good rating, those effects dribble down to the municipality also. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Reimann made special note of Items 23, 24 and 25 and asked Mr. <br /> Berg if he has gotten any response from Mr. Peltzer, Mr. Norcross. Mr. Berg <br /> stated that the Randy Norcross issue is on the agenda for tonight and that he <br /> has just received a call from Mr. Peltzer and will discuss this issue during <br /> his Staff Report.
