I I I I I I I I I I I Counc~].,'mbar Cox introduced th'e following reso]ution and mvoed for its adoption: RESOLUTION #82-112 RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH BUDGET CALENDAR REGARDING REVENUE SHARING AND CITY BUI)GET WHEREAS, the United States Federal code established certain guidelines that the municipalities must follow in preparing their budgets when Federal Revenue Sharing Fonds are going to be used in it; and WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota Statutes establishes certain guidelines in regards to the last date State governmental units may submit their budget tax levies to their respective counties. NOW TliEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The following budget calendar has been established to comply with Federal and State Laws: Aug. 20 3:00 P.M. August 27 Publish Notice of "Proposed Use Hearing" Revenue Sharing. This notice must be published 10 days prior to the hearing, and the hearing must be held at least 7 days prior to the proposed budget being presented to the council. ~old Budget Committee meeting to present the . 1983 budget for their review, opinions and' changes. Aug. 31 Hold "Proposed Use Hearing" Revenue Sharing Council Special Meeting Sept. 3 9:00 A.M. Sept. 7 Publish Notice of "Budget Hearing" Revenue Sharing. This notice must be published 10 days prior to the hearing, and the hearing must be held after the budget has been pre- sented to council, but before its adoption. Hold Budget Committee meeting for final approval of 1983 budget prior to presenting to full council. Sept. 10 7:30 P.M. Sept. 13 Budget presented to full council for their reviewal. Must be at least 7 days after the Proposed Use Hearing for Revenue Sharing. Hold "Budget Hearing" Revenue Sharing jointly with the first budget hearing with full council to solicit council opinions and changes.
