I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember Cox introduced the following Resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION 82-119 City of Ramsey Anoka County, Minnesota WHEREAS, Landfill Site P is in the process of being designated by Anoka County and the Metropolitan Council; and WUEREAS, the Ramsey City Council met on Augupt 4, 1982 with Metropolitan Council Staff and asked numerous questions relating to the economic and environmental impact of Site P; and WHEREAS, the various questions have yet to be answered by the relevant agencies; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is working toward getting a study completed such that its questions can be conclusively answered; and WHEREAS, Ramsey has yet to see proposed legislation which will solve Ramsey's environmental and economic concerns relating to the landfill; and W~REAS, Ramsey's questions should have been answered and addressed prior to the County and Metropolitan Council coming to the City and stating a landfill will be in Ramsey. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. That the Ramsey City Council will not act in any manner for or against proposed Site P unless and until its questions are satisfactorily answered, which questions were posed in Ramsey's Resolution #82-108, a copy of which is attached hereto. 2. That further processing on the selection of Site P be put into abeyance until Ramsey's questions are thoroughly addressed and comprehensively answered. 3. That a response to this resolution be received by Ramsey from both Anoka County and the Metroplitan Council within 10 days of its receipt. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Councilmember Cox Councilmember Van Wagner Councilmember Sorteberg Councilmember Reimann
