I I I I I I I I I I I I 1982 STREET DEPARTMENT PROJECTS 1) Raise Intersection at Xenolith Street and 181st Avenue: I have had many complaints from bus companies on this intersection because Xenolith Street is not on grade with 181st Avenue and they say it is hard on springs on the buses. It is also difficult to maintain whether it be grading or plowing snow because of the angle. It will need about 300 yards of fill dirt and then the entire road should be covered with CL-5. 2) Clean Waterway in White Pines Estates: This is a job that we have to hire or rent a backhoe for because it is too soft to get into with our equipment. 3) Clean Ditch on Rivlyn Avenue West of Tungsten Street: Grosslein keeps this ditch mowed and it is so rough and uneven that they ruined a mower on a sharp bank. 4) Clean Ditches and Move Culvert in Rolling Green Addition: Ail ditches in this area need cleaning because in some areas the ditch is higher than the road. There is one road culvert that is completely plugged and by moving it across the intersection, the water will have a more direct flow to the holding area. 5) Reset Culverts in Rodeo Hills: There are two culverts in this area that have frozen up nearly every winter since it was developed We reset a third one two years ago and have had no probelms with that one since. 6) Clean Ditch on 149th Lane West of Highway ~47: This is just a general ditch cleaning because of high shoulders. 7) Haul Dirt Fill on 157th Avenue West of Variolite Street: This street doesn't have any ditches and the water stands on the road in one spot. 8) Check on Possibility of Building Cul-de-sac on Bison Street South of County I I I 9) Road If63: A homeowner put up a fence on his property where we used to turn around, making it difficult to turn around with trucks and graders. Build Out Slope on 169th Avenue and Yolite in Golden Eagle Estates: We have a bad situation here where water from the street runs across private property and is exposing the homeowner's drainfield. It is possible to follow the road with the water but we will have to haul in some extra dirt.
