Schnelle:

This wJ].l confirm our recent telephone conversation concerning this workers compen-
sation c].aim on which you have raised questions regarding the disposition of this
claim.

Workers Compensation Supervisor Barbara Ross settled this disputed claim on the
following basis;

This company paid.$22,500oO0 to Mr. Buchite and his attorney in order
to settle on a full, final and complete basis for the present and
future all claims Mr. Buchite has for temporary total, temporary
partial, permanent partial; past, present, and future; and for
permanent total disability, retraining and supplemental benefits.

Medical expense benefits are left open to Mr. Buchite, but this
company reserves any and all defenses regarding the payment of medical
bills as provided by the statute. In other words, we can challenge the
appropriateness of any claim for medical expenses submitted by
Mr. Buchite.

H & S Asphalt of Anoka and Aetna Life and Casualty Company have been
dismissed from this case. The reason for their dismissal is that there
was no basis, either legal or medical, in which to tie them into
this current case. Please note that the employee's injury with
H & S Asphalt was a knee injury and our claim involved Mr. Buchite's
back.

Our payment of $22,500 plus $423.90 in legal costs, made a total payment on
Mr. Buchite's claim of indemnity of $24,236.40. To date we have paid $6,134.50
in medical expenses. While medical expense if left open for~ Mr. Buchite for this
particular back injury only, it is our feeling that these might gradually decrease
until very little in the way of medical expense will be paid.

Mr. Schnelle, Richard Buchite is a 63 year old man with a back impairment rated
