Application was received by Mr. A1 Bullick to rezone Lot 4, Block 3 of <br /> Riverside West Addition. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />2. Public hearing was duly held and conducted on October 5, 1982. <br /> <br />3. Planning Commission received a petition to recon~end denial of rezoning <br /> based on the following facts: <br /> <br />a. A buffer zone between residential and co~mmercial must be <br /> maintained to protect property value. <br /> <br />b. There are plenty of unsold and unbuilt commercial lots available, <br /> that there is no need for anymore at this time. <br /> <br />4. That the subject property is located within the Critical Rivers Area <br /> of the Mississipi. <br /> <br />~]ere is currently existing adequate commercial and industrial land <br />that can be developed as commercial land for commercial uses in this <br />City and in the immediate area of this proposed rezoning property. <br /> <br />7q <br /> <br />City recently c~o_mple.ted i.t's Comprehensive Plan and nowhere xqas this <br />matter brough forth as an issue for-. potential rezoning of this property. <br /> <br />Rezoning to remove residential property conflict only results in another ~ <br />residential property conflict at another location. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by commissioner Schneider to accept <br />and approve the above Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />~lotion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Dunn, Zimmerman, <br />D©,~mer, Schneider and LaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Isakson. <br /> <br />Fmtion by Commissioner Dunn and seconded by Co~mmissioner Schneider to reco]~nend <br />to City Council that they deny Mr. A1 Bullick's application for rezoning of <br />Lot 4, Block 3 Riverside West from Residential R-1 to Business B-1 based on <br />the above Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />~otion carried.
