The Metropolitan Council has approved the <br />revised draft for a public hearing, set for Nov. 18, 4:30 p,m., in the Council <br />Chambers. The revised draft is intended to replace pages 44-51 of the <br />Recreation Open Space chapter of the Metropolitan Development Guide. <br /> <br />The revised draft changes the CIP to reflect a reduced spending level for <br />regional park acquisition and development in ~he 1983-84 biennium. The draft <br />outlines system needs from 1983 to 1991 and beyond. It also reduces the number <br />of activity categories to better reflect policy objectives. <br /> <br />The capital improvement program was developed in consultation with the 10 <br />implementing agencies of the regional recreation' system. It was considered by <br />the Metropolitan Parks and Open Space Commission at meetings in August and <br />September. <br /> <br />Additional copies of the draft CIP may be obtained from the Council's <br />Public Information Office at 291-6464.
