I I I i I I I I I '1 I I I I I I I I PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA A public hearing was called to order by Councilmember Reimann regarding Improvement Project #82-2, Rodeo Hills, proposed assessments at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota at 7:15 P.M. on Wednesday, September 29, 1982. ~,~embers Present: Members Absent: Also Present: Councilmember Reimann (Acting Mayor) Councilmember Arnie Cox Councilmember Sue Van Wagner b~yor Thomas Gamec Co~]cilmember A1 Sorteberg City Engineer Peter Raatikka City Attorney William Goodrich City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle City Building Official Clayton Berg Reporter Eric Sandin Mr. Raatikka explained to the audience that the reason for conducting the assessment public hearing before the completion of the project was to get the assessments on the 1983 tax roles, which will save the property owners one years interest. Mr. Raatikka then gave a slide presentation of the project and the assessment costs. Mr. Raatikka informed the audience that the assessments can be paid in 30 days with no interest or if it is paid by November 12, 1982, it will not go on the tax roles or it can be paid off any year after this provided it is done before Novembe~ 15. Dan Kortuem - 17711 Vanadium - Stated that there is a culvert on the north side of the road that has filled up with dirt and the asphalt is caving in. Mr. Raatikka assured him it would be repaired. Dan Kortuem - Contractor poured clay and-gravel along side the road and never packed it and it all washed down into the ditch, am not satisfied with the shoulder. Mr. Raatikka stated that the shoulder in ~hat area will be repaired and that the contractor has a one year maintenance bond with the City. P~ry Smith - 6241 180th Lane - We live on Lot 6 and there is no shoulder on the road and the contractor left huge chunks of rock and clay. Mr. Raatikka responded that clean-up has not been completed by contractor yet, but will be. Mary Smith - We were supposed to get a 1' apron to our driveway and didn't.
