Fields Anoka County Board of Co~nissioners Anoka County Courthouse Amoka, Minnesota 55303 Re: Anoka County's Candidate Landfill Site P Dear Chairman Fields: First, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your personal support amd to thank the County Board for its support at the Board's September 28, 1982 meeting regarding the selection process of landfill Site P and the existing s~te located in Ramsey. Secondly, I have reviewed the draft of the County Board's September 28, 1982 minutes relating to the landfill. At the meeting on the 28th, it was my understanding that the Board was in favor of including the existing site in Site P and it was for this purpose that the committee was established to review the feasibility and procedures necessary to accomplish this. I do not recall the Board discussing "various alternatives" as the draft minutes indicate and I do believe that this term is too general in scope. With that kind of direction, I am not so sure that the committee will understand its purpose. In addition, I think it is very important that the County's official record reflect properly the Board's position in supporting the inclusion of the existing fill site as a part of Site P. While the proposed minutes in general reflect the Board's action on September 28, 1982, I am hopeful that the minutes as adopted will be more specific and direct.
