I
I
,i
I
I
I
I
I

ANOKA
Office of the County Board of Commissioners

ANOKA, MINNESOTA 55303 612-421-4760

The Honorable Tom Gamec, Mayor
c/o Lloyd Schnelle, City Mgr.
City of Ramsey
]5]53 Nowthen Blvd. N.W.
Ramsey, Mn. 55303

Dear Mayor Gamec:

The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the discussions and
outcomes of the TAC meeting of November 9. That meeting was called to
give information necessary to begin planning for the 1983 CDBG projects
as well as to discuss some current developments and questions.

Enclosed are information items for 1983:

the estimated allocations for the cities and townships in 1983
(please keep in mind that these figures are only estimates and will
surely be revised; probably upward);

a schedule for program development;

a revised project request form;

I
I

a copy of the proposed CDBG regulations which will impact the 1982
and 1983 projects (they are unlikely to be approved before February,
and may be revised); and

a copy of the expanded regulations on conflict of interest (~lease
read carefully).

I
I
I
!

If you have questions on any of these printed materials, please call.

If the proposed CDBG regulations are approved as written, they will
provide for some changes in eligible activities which could be very
helpful to you:

Schools and other educational facilities will be eligible for
assistance as "public facilities" (need not be owned by the city).

- Energy conservation will be an eligible activity.

Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer
