I I I I I I i I I I I I I I I I I I -2- On the basis of preliminary staff review of the application and in accordance with applicable standards and regulations, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency may amend the permit for construction and operation of the facility subject to special conditions, The construction may not be commenced until the plans and specifications are approved by the Director. The determination to amend the permit based on the application is discretionary with the Director. Interested persons are invited to submit written comments. Interested persons may also petition for a public hearing in accordance with Agency Rules of Procedure, MPCA 9 (b)(1). All comments received within ten (10) days after the public notice is issued will be considered in the formulation of final determination. Public notice of the plans and specifications is discretionary with the Director, but in all cases a letter notice will be sent to all persons who indicate an interest in the plans and specifications. The application, proposed permit amendment, comments received and other documents are available for inspection and may be copied anytime between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Copies of the public notice, the application information and proposed permit amendment are available at the address shown above.
